At Taraah Jewels, we want every purchase to feel right. If something doesn't work out — whether it's the size, the style, or a change of heart — we've made it as simple as possible to return or exchange your order. Please read through this policy so you know exactly what to expect.

01. Return Window

We offer a 7-day return window from the date of delivery. If 7 days have passed since your order was delivered, we are unable to process a return or exchange request.

The return window begins on the date shown in your delivery confirmation — not the date you open the package. Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives.

02. Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet all of the following conditions:

  • In original condition
  • All original tags intact
  • Original packaging included
  • Certificate (if any) enclosed
  • Requested within 7 days of delivery
Not eligible for return
  • Worn, used, or altered items
  • Missing original packaging or tags
  • Damaged due to misuse or mishandling
  • Request raised after 7 days
  • Items listed as non-returnable below

03. Non-Returnable Items

Due to the nature of certain products, the following items cannot be returned or exchanged unless they are received in a defective or incorrect condition:

Personalised jewellery Custom / engraved pieces Earrings (hygiene) Nose pins (hygiene) Silver coins Gifting articles Free gifts Promotional items

If you believe any of the above items were received with a manufacturing defect or were incorrect, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs and we will resolve it promptly.

04. Exchange Policy

We offer exchanges for eligible products — whether you'd like a different size, a different design, or something that better suits you. Exchanges are subject to the same eligibility conditions as returns.

How exchanges work

  • Raise an exchange request within 7 days of delivery
  • Our team will schedule a reverse pickup of the original item
  • Once the item is received and inspected at our end, your replacement order will be dispatched
  • If the replacement product is of a higher value, the price difference will be charged before dispatch
  • If the replacement product is of a lower value, the difference will be refunded to your original payment method

Exchanges are subject to product availability. If the item you'd like is out of stock, our team will reach out to offer an alternative or process a refund.

05. How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

The process is straightforward. Here's how it works from start to finish:

Raise your request

Contact our support team at support@taraahjewels.com or via WhatsApp within 7 days of delivery. Share your order number and the reason for your return or exchange. Photographs of the product are helpful, especially for defect claims.

Request approved

Our team will review your request and confirm eligibility within 1–2 business days. You'll receive a confirmation along with pickup instructions.

Reverse pickup scheduled

Our courier partner will contact you to arrange a pickup from your address. Please ensure the product is securely packed in its original packaging and that you are available at the time of pickup.

Quality inspection

Once we receive the returned item, it will go through a quality inspection. This typically takes 1–2 business days. We will notify you of the outcome.

Refund or exchange processed

Upon successful inspection, your refund will be initiated or your exchange order will be dispatched — typically within 5–7 business days of inspection completion.

06. Refund Policy

Refunds are processed only after the returned item is received and passes quality inspection. The refund amount is based on the original invoice value of the product. Any discounts or offers applied at the time of purchase are factored in — we do not refund the full MRP if a discount was applied.

Shipping charges (if any) are non-refundable. If your returned package is incomplete — missing components, gifts, or accessories — the applicable value will be deducted from the refund amount.

07. Defective or Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, we sincerely apologise and will make it right as a priority.

What to do

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery at support@taraahjewels.com
  • Share your order number and clear photographs of the defect or incorrect item
  • Also include a photo of the outer packaging if it appears damaged

Once verified, we will offer one of the following resolutions at no additional cost to you:

  • A replacement of the same item
  • An exchange for a different item of equal value
  • A full refund to your original payment method

Claims for defective or incorrect items raised after 48 hours of delivery may not be accepted. Please inspect your order promptly upon receipt.

08. Reverse Pickup & Self-Shipping

For most pin codes across India, our courier partner will arrange a free reverse pickup from your address. Please ensure the item is packed securely in its original box or protective material before the pickup attempt.

If pickup fails

Our courier will make up to 2 pickup attempts. If both attempts are unsuccessful due to unavailability or unreachable contact, the return request may be cancelled and will need to be re-initiated.

Non-serviceable pin codes

In rare cases where reverse pickup is not available at your location, you may be asked to self-ship the product to our address via a reliable courier (e.g., India Post).

  • We will reimburse shipping costs up to ₹70 upon submission of the courier receipt
  • Shipping costs above ₹70 will be adjusted against the refund amount
  • Please use a trackable shipping method and share the tracking details with us

09. Cancellation Policy

Orders can be cancelled before they are dispatched. Once an order has been shipped, it cannot be cancelled — you will need to wait for delivery and then initiate a return if required.

Standard orders

Contact our support team as soon as possible with your order number. If the order hasn't been handed to the courier yet, we will cancel it and initiate a full refund.

Personalised & custom orders

Personalised orders can only be cancelled within 2 hours of placing the order, before production begins. Once our team has started crafting your piece, cancellation is not possible.

For gold jewellery orders, if the final price differs from the listed price due to gold rate fluctuations or weight variance, you will be notified within 48 hours and given 24 hours to cancel without any penalty.

10. Important Notes

  • All returns and exchanges are subject to Taraah Jewels' inspection and final approval
  • We reserve the right to reject returns that do not meet the eligibility criteria stated above
  • Taraah Jewels is not responsible for items damaged during return shipping if self-shipped without adequate packaging
  • Returns of orders placed during sale or promotional events are accepted under the same 7-day window, unless marked as "Final Sale" at the time of purchase
  • This policy applies to purchases made on www.taraahjewels.com only
